Fire and Brimstone ! The laser-etched response to Climate Ch

The environment is under threat from anthropogenic climate change. Its response? Flood, drought, fire. Big fire. Nature’s beauty and wonder is backed into a corner and is taking on a more fearsome persona. 

In response, I created a series of artworks that captures this vengeful mood. Devastation and beauty entwined.  

Imitating the powerful element of fire I used a laser to burn images of my paintings into organic materials such as wood and paper, enabling me to embody nature’s destructive power
